Good Eats.
On September 7th, Soch and I celebrated our 6 month anniversary. I'm not really big on the months, but I really enjoy celebrating the years that go by. Nonetheless, we both found this occassion to be a special one. It didn't have to be big -- like the last one: we just donated blood together to the Red Cross. Since my dad celebrated his birthday just the day before, we'd been at my place enjoying the presence of my siblings, and family members, and though there was a lot of food, we decided to go out just to squeeze in some alone time over some romantic food.
Italian food has to be one of my favorites. I've thought of italian food to be romantic, so of all the places we could have gone to, we chose Round Table. It was perfect: Soch hade never experienced the greatness of Round Table cheese twists and pizza. It was a great first experience for him, and I got to revisit the savory taste of their delicious food. Not much happened afterwards, but spending quality time over the weekend together made it a good one.
The following week, we visited the Getty Center. Another first for Soch. We thought of all these cool places to go to eat afterwards -- Philippe's, Chinatown, but came to a mutual agreement. We had Manna korean bbq in Los Angeles. yummm
During the past few weeks, my days have consisted of work & little play. As a result, on the weekends, Soch and I will go out or have dinner. After arriving home at a semi-late time, I only have 2 hours to do work at the library. On this particular day, I was not able to get home until past 6 because of my gay work. I was upset, but didn't let it ruin my night. Soch asked to go out and have dinner, he surprised me firstly by taking me to the Pomona Farmer's Market where we grubbed on some elotes. Mmm. Whoever thought up the idea of corn, mayo, cheese, and chile was a genious!
We proceeded over to Joey's BBQ which is similar to Lucille's, just more independent, and I've always been one to want to support these small places in Old Town areas. Joey's was nothing near small though. The tables could most likely fit a party of 6, the dining area was huge, and the bar consisted on may choices of beer and well drinks. It was a romantic, hearty dinner, and I wouldn't complain to going back. The service was great.
My sister's birthday was Thursday this past week, and in celebrating we had bbq, fried baby meatballs, spaghetti, 7-layer dip and chips, mango salad, and much more -- all home made <3
I can't wait to eat againnnnn...
I realize I need to go back to the gym, but the most important thing right now is that I'm happy.
I hope I land the job tomorrow :]

Excite!
Getting one step closer each time. I recently passed my CBEST, I've already graduate with my AA, I'm almost done with my BA, the moving on to my Masters and I might get a part time job at Think Together -- It's an after school program to help children with homework. I'm so excited and proud :]
More to come. I've just been lazy. I'll let you know about last weekend, and what's been going on! Getty pictures to be posted and more.
If you didn't know, today is my sister's birthday, and because it's her birthday, she's allowed to wear these!:

some wise words
When you don't listen, your friends get tired of telling you stories, and you'll eventually lose all your friends.
